Hi....this is just a post about a major problem the earth is facing....yes, it is global warming.

Global warming is the rising of average global surface temperature.  The temperature rise is attributed to the greenhouse gas emissions which form “greenhouse effect”.  In the greenhouse effect, the thermal radiation from the surface of the earth is absorbed by the greenhouse gases, mainly the Carbon dioxide and cause substantial increase in the surface temperature.  The greenhouse gas emissions are mainly from burning fossil fuels and deforestation.

The rising of the average surface temperature or the global warming has negative implications on our lives.  It melt the ice caps and ice glaciers and rise the sea level which in turn submerge low lying cities, destroy the everglades or marshlands and deplete freshwater availability.  The rise in temperature would increase rainfall patterns, cause floods, bring violent weather conditions,  affect viruses and microbe habitations which in turn cause migration of diseases to unpredicted areas and more.

We need to control the greenhouse gas emissions.  The burning of fossil fuels were directly connected to the economy of the nations, the emissions are higher for the richer and developed nations.  While ¾ of the greenhouse gas emissions are from industrialized and developed countries, the developing counties such as the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and the US are the highest individual polluters at present.

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was formed to fight the global warming.  The UNFCCC came up with the so called Kyoto protocol where rich industrialized nations reduce the emissions to an average 5% below the 1990 level of emissions during 2008-2012 period and support the developing countries by paying them for the “green developments” through the United Nations Clean Development Mechanism. The developing countries are bound to cut emissions after 2012.  This was because the presumption that the rich nations were historically responsible for higher emissions/global warming and to take the lead to cut emissions.  The United States of America who has the highest historical carbon footprint objected the Kyoto protocol and did not sign the protocol because it did not like developing countries such as China and India did not have to cut emissions up to 2012.  The latest conference on climate change by the United Nations was in Durban, South Africa from 11/26/2011 to 12/07/2011 and the outcome on the conference is soon expected.

This time,I've come up with a poem which I wrote when I was in 9th grade, back home. I'm trying to express myself through each stanza of this poem ! This poem is in a language called 'Malayalam'. It is the language spoken in a southern state of India called Kerala.

പപ്പാ മമ്മി 

ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു,

എനിക്ക് നിങ്ങളെ ഒത്തിരി ഇഷ്ടമാണ്                          1

നിങ്ങള്‍ എനിക്ക് വേണ്ടി

ചെയ്തത് എല്ലാം  ഓര്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍,

ഭക്ഷണം തന്നു , വയറു നിറച്ചു 

എന്നെ സഹായിച്ചു,എന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചു,

കള്ളി പാട്ടം മേടിച്ചു, ഞാന്‍ അത് പൊട്ടിച്ചു                2

വേറെ മേടിച്ചു, അതും പൊടിച്ചു.

എന്നെ പടിപിച്ചു, അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാന്‍ ജെയ്ച്ചു.        3

നല്‍ വഴി കട്ടി, ഞാന്‍ നല്ല കുട്ടി ആയി

ആകുല വേളകളില്‍ എനിക്ക് അതാണ്ണി ആയി

സന്തോഷിപിച്ച് എന്നെ പുഞ്ചിരിപിച്ചു ,                   4

എന്നെ രക്ഷകനെ കാണിച്ചു

ഞാന്‍ പുരോഹിതനായി.

ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു,

ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നു                                           5

ദൂരെ ആണെങ്കില്ലും

ഞാന്‍ ഉമ്മ തരുന്നു !!!

Even though I'm far away from my parents, I'm trying to express

my love, gratitude and feelings for them through this poem !

Through the first stanza, I'm trying to tell my parents that I love them for all that they have done for me.

In the second stanza,I'm expressing my gratitude towards my parents by thanking them for the help they gave me at various situations in my life, the good food they gave me which has made me look what I am today even though they are slim, and for the wonderful things they have bought for me, and for the other things which gave me a better view of the world.

In the third stanza, I'm thanking them for all that they taught me which eventually made me a better responsible individual , a good son and a good global citizen.

In the next stanza, I'm trying to mention the great encouragement they gave me, which had been a great support for me in situations where I lost my hope and almost gave up.

And finally in the last one,I'm trying to send them my love through a flying kiss/E-kiss.

It is all the thoughts about my parents and all the emotions which I had, made me make this poem. I  used to regret when I thought about what I had given to my Parents in return for all that they gave me because I almost gave them nothing. This thought is what made me write this short poem and it comforted me in the fact that I was able to give something to my parents in return !!

 

Mercy Killing....

''Mercy Killing'' otherwise known as ''Euthanasia'' is a way of killing a human being or a living thing by Purposely or intentionally killing them in order to relieve them from the Pain and sufferings they were undergoing.

Euthanasia was a topic that hadn't been discussed a lot until it came in the news channels recently in the case of A lady who was killed after she was in a vegetative state for 32 years.

This process is conducted in several ways:
*The oxygen supply of the person is cut off, so that the person dies  fast but in a passive way mentally.
*The food supply of the patient is stopped, this causes the patient to go hungry, and eventually the person dies of hunger.
*The patient is injected with a chemical that stops the heart from beating or pumping
*The patient is not given any more treatment, so that the patient gradually dies.

However Euthanasia is mainly questioned in the sense whether it's Right or Wrong!
Euthanasia is allowed in some countries and banned from many.
Euthanasia is carried out only after the patient approves it to be performed on her.If the patient is unconscious, then it has to be approved by the relatives of the patient.

But the argument is that Euthanasia is against human rights in the case of an Unconscious Patient. The person is killed without he/she realizing that they would be killed in some moments.

It was proven that some hospitals killed Unconscious Patients who had no relatives through Euthanasia just for the sake of getting a vacancy for another patient who had to undergo treatment in the same bed after bribing the hospital Management.

I'm just posting this post just to express my hatred on Euthanasia!!
Whether the patient is conscious or not is not what matters....the only thing that matters is that a person is killed ''PURPOSELY''!!!!
How could people do this? It's totally against mankind!

Just imagine ourselves being Euthanized in a situation where we can just understand what is going on, but can't respond to it.....how would you feel? I would feel that I've been surrounded by a group of ''Anti-humans'' who insists on me being killed.

Well: *Euthanasia being conducted with the approval of the patient is termed as Voluntary Euthanasia......
*Euthanasia conducted when the approval of the patient is unavailable is known as Non-voluntary Euthanasia...
* Finally, Euthanasia being conducted against the will of the patient is called Involuntary Euthanasia.

What I would like to say is that Even Voluntary and Non-voluntary Euthanasia is a part of Involuntary Euthanasia!!!!! It is totally Against the will of the patient even though the patient approves it or not because it goes against the Ideals of the'' HUMAN RIGHTS''.

My Egyptian Dinner Party.....

         It was a night, sometime around or near10000 BC in Egypt. The large field in front of the pyramids was already ready for what the hosts claimed to be the Biggest Dinner Party of the Era! Everything was fine and perfect, the tables were well decorated by the servants, as well as the big stage. The hosts stood by the front gate welcoming their guests who were Emperors, Kings, Princess, Soldiers, Army Leaders, along with their wives and children.

The hosts who were Emperor Augustus Ne mes and his wife Cleopatra were welcoming their guests by their traditional way of saluting each other along with their servants who were guiding the guests to their respective tables. They also explained the program   one by one to the guests.

Since the Egyptians loved music, A famous Musical group was playing there with a traditional music along with Belly Dancers who were cheering up the people.

In those Days...the people believed in ghosts, especially an evil cat named Bastes. The people from the royal family didn't believe in this.The People believed that this cat was behind the death of many unexplained deaths, mainly of people who were musicians before dying. 

The Cat hated music....It usually became vigorous when hearing music and would try to kill people if it saw humans nearby. The people didn't really know that it would become vigorous and active when hearing the music.....but there was a person who knew this. He was a sorcerer named Ark ham. He was present at the party. He immediately went to Ne mes and warned him that there was a possibility of an attack from the evil  cat Bastes. They paid no Heed to the sorcerer's warning!

All the people started to laugh when they heard this.Quite ashamed, the sorcerer went out of the party. The party then continued as usual. There were people laughing and enjoying, some were dancing, others were drinking and eating.

Suddenly, they couldn't hear the beat of the drums from the musical group. When they turned to look at the stage, they saw the drummer dead on the stage. The guests then started to become Anxious. But the hosts assured them that there was no danger, pointing to the his strong army standing on one side.

One bye one..the people from the musical troop started to die. Again and again the hosts assured the people that there was nothing to be scared, even though they didn't know what was behind the death. One of the guests then reminded the hosts about what the sorcerer said.

Augustus Ne mes didn't believe in what the sorcerer had said and he said that he wanted to prove it by singing a song...and he started singing. Suddenly, out of nowhere something cut through the emperors body and he fell on the ground dead....

The people then dispersed after having seen the proof proving that Bastes was real..

I am a ''future pilot''

Hi guys.....this is going to be my last post (hopefully)


I am a person who wishes to fly....but since I do not have wings......I am thinking of flying an Airplane.......

I really would like to be a pilot.By being  a pilot...I get to explore many different places , countries, continents etc.....

Firstly.....I just love the cockpit of a plane.....It has a beautiful view.

All those buttons to press, the lever to pull back and forth & the thing that looks a joystick. WOW !

Have you guys ever wondered how a plane takes off from the ground with all those people and luggage's?

It's considered as the best mode of long distance transportation..........

I would really like to be a part of this Amazing creation.!!!!

Walking a dog helps the owner and the dog to get exposed to fresh air and it always gives a positive ambiance and pleasure .

So if you don't have a pet, make sure you have one......
